Susan and I have been more or less stranded for the last three days as Hurricane Ike has made its way across the Gulf.  As most of you who access this blog know, we live on the bayou and our lot is at sea level.  Since we are only about four miles up from Biloxi Bay, when there is a high tide we get some water in the yard, not much but when there is a high tide, wind, and storm surge we get a WHOLE LOT of water in the yard.  Now I am used to this but Susan is not, nuff said.

Here are some pics taken yesterday.  Today although the water is still there it is not as high and it should be back to normal in the next day or so.
