It has been too long since I posted, quite a few things have happened.  Both my laptop and digital camera are kaput so I am handicapped both ways until I get new ones when I get back.  At the moment we are in Beeville, Tx., having just left Falcon State Park near Zapata, Tx.  We camped there for a week following a few days camping in a state park near Padre Island, Tx.  So far the trip has been a delight.  We wanted to get away from cold, damp Mississippi  and we did.  The last few days have seen temps in the mid 90's and we are wearing shorts.  Falcon State Park was neat. Small in size with some nice walking trails it is a center for birdwatching.  In addition to many birds we don't see up home it also has Bobcats, Coyotes (who blessed us several times a night with their voices), Javalina's, and rattlesnakes.   From here we are heading out to Galveston and a park nearbye for a few more days of relaxation and then back home.
