While in South Carolina we stayed with Susan's roommate from Alliance and her husband.  They live on the coast near Hilton Head.  Here are some pics from that trip. The cannon shot was taken in historic downtown Beaufort, South Carolina.  Looking at those old cannon one has to wonder how accurate they were.  Not very it seems.  We are back home now, at the bayou.  It has turned chilly and the wind has picked up. Phil, my neighbor is building a new house when it gets further along I will show some pics of that.  He has decided to never have to worry about a flood again and has raised the first floor some 12 feet or so above the ground.
