This time next week I will be in Baja Cal., San Quintin in fact.  Hopefully the white sea bass will be running and I can finally bag one.  I have been going to San Quintin, about 200 miles below the border, since 1983 or thereabouts and have seen many changes.  Soon there will be too many people going down that way and I will have to find someplace not so busy.  I remember the day a few years ago when I was down there with Casey and we fished a 150 lb bale of pot out of the ocean.  Here is a pic of me and one of the bricks,,,,,all watertight,,,,and we had to toss them all back in....Kelly (the guide) did not want to risk the Federales confiscating his boat if we took it in...even if we were going to turn it it.....Go figure..
