This massive cathedral was begun in 1248 and finished in 1880.  It is awesome.  When it was completed it was the tallest building in the world at 515 feet.  There are so many treasures inside the cathedral that I could not begin to mention them.  The Shrine of the Three Magi is maybe the most important.  It is a masterwork of the goldsmith's art dating to the 12th century.  I was not allowed to take flash pics inside so what I did get is not that good.  Also impressive were the tombs where the priests are buried, in crypts.  Not a bad way to spend eternity I guess.
